For the purpose of promoting lifelong learning and good citizenship, the District’s Education for Employment plan begins with the elementary students getting career awareness time with the counselor on a regular basis throughout the school year. At the middle school level, the counselor goes into more specific career planning tools and exploration of various careers. The high school students begin advanced collaboration through opportunities to meet area business professionals and participate in a mentorship program, labor professionals, post-secondary school representatives and military representatives.
